Teacher Training Intensive

Wednesday November 4th - Sunday November 8th

This five-day immersion is designed for instructors who are passionate about dance, who seek to be the best technical educators they can be, and want to help dancers develop in a way that goes beyond replicating choreo. This isn’t a quickie certification. This is a refocusing, a recommitment, a reverence to the art of dance that is so lacking in our industry.

25 hour Teacher Training at Studio Nightshade lead by Natalya Nightshade. Over five days, we’ll dismantle surface-level teaching and rebuild it with precision: from thoughtful warm-ups, class structure, and creative cueing, to deep dives into essential low flow dance technique, and how to break down, translate, and effectively teach your own movement. Expect dance education that leaves you feeling more knowledgable, like a more adept and aware mover yourself, and more confident that you can teach in a way that lands and translates into better body awareness and movement quality in your students.

Pre-Work.

All attendees will be sent a questionnaire and self-assessment to help tailor the experience to best serve your growth as an instructor.

Post-Work.

Have a question or need help breaking down a movement for your class? Intensive attendees get 3 months of unlimited messages on WhatsApp for instructor support and 1 post-intensive private lesson follow up on Zoom (must be used within 3 months).

Most pole instructors teach movement, but few teach dancers. If you’re a passionate pole dancer who wants to be part of closing the dance gap in the industry, join me in putting the dance back in pole dance - not just for yourself, but for every student you touch.

  • Approx. 5 hours per day with an hour break.

    Sat: 4pm - 9pm
    Sun: 2pm - 7pm

    All payments are non-refundable. If a student cannot attend for any reason, you are welcome to transfer your spot to another person with the requisite experience so long as you submit the change in writing.

    Students are responsible for their own travel, meals, and housing as this is not included in the price of the intensive.

    We do not accept liability for any loss occurring before, during, or after the event, including physical injury, death, damage, loss, or destruction of personal items.
