You will find a lockbox in the window frame to the right of the door. You will receive a unique lockbox code the day before your booking. Press the round button to turn it on, enter the code, and press the button again to unlock. At the end of your rental, be sure to lock the door and return the key to the lock box. Lost or misplaced keys will be charged a $75 fee. Please be sure to lock the door behind you because Stranger Danger.

Upon entering, you will find light switches on the wall to the left. The switch closest to the window controls the main lights in the reception and dance space. It is on a dimmer so you can adjust as needed. Please leave all other switches here in the OFF position and remember to remove your shoes before stepping on the dance floor.

On the front desk, you will find a small green snake jar. Inside of this jar is a remote to turn on/off the lighting in the dance space. Point and click in the direction of the curtains to turn on/off. Please return remote to the jar. Lost or misplaced remote will incur a $75 fee.

In the far right corner when you walk through the curtains, you will find the speaker beneath the towels and alcohol. Turn on, press the bluetooth button so the device becomes findable, and connect to SRS-XP700.

To turn on this secondary lighting panel, simply flip the switch on the power strip located behind it. Fans are located on both sides of the mirror. Please do not move or relocate this light feature. If moved, renter assumes responsibility for any and all damage and cost of repairs. Please be sure to unplug the light and turn off all fans before exiting.

On the left hand side of the mirrors, you will find towels and alcohol for your use. Please return the alcohol bottle and drop towel(s) in the laundry basket below.

Across the dance floor on the right is our locker room. Here you will find cubbies for your belongings and one of two thermostats. The left switch turns on the overhead light. Please leave the switch on the right in the OFF position. You may adjust the AC as needed, but no colder than 71 degrees. Return AC to 83 degrees prior to exit.

In the locker room, there is an iPad (no passcode) to control the customizable lights on the back wall. Click here for a quick YouTube how to video. You are welcome to connect the iPad to bluetooth and use it to play music if you’d like to use your personal device for recording. Be sure to put the iPad back where you found it and plug it in to charge for the next user.

To turn on the pink led sign in the locker room, there is a controller hidden behind the curtain. There are three brightness settings. Be sure to turn this off before you leave. (Don’t worry I made a nail appointment).

Across the dance floor on the left is our restroom. The light switch to this small hall is next to the mirror, with the thermostat located adjacent to the door way. You may adjust the AC as needed, but no colder than 71 degrees. Return AC to 83 degrees prior to exit.

Across from the hall mirror is the restroom. If you open the door all the way, the light switch is directly beyond the edge of the door on the right. If you don’t open the door all the way, you may never find the light switch and be trapped in this black box for all eternity. Studio Nightshade does not accept responsibility for anyone who gets lost in the abyss. There is a First Aid Kit in the sink cabinet if needed.

Both our dance and retail space are monitored by 24 hour cameras to ensure safe and timely entry and exit. Please adhere to the rental type and maximum capacity of the booking you selected. Failure to do so will result in additional fees and a lifetime ban from Studio Nightshade. If damage occurs during your rental, please report it immediately.
